Introduction

EverythingWeather ("we," "our," or "us") provides a weather app for iOS, Android, and the web, and this website. This policy explains what information the app and site collect, how it is used, and how to delete it.

Information we collect

Location. If you allow location access, the app uses your device location to show local weather and to send location-based alerts. Saved places store coordinates and place names. Location stays off until you grant permission.

Account. An account is optional, and the app works without one. If you create an account, you sign in with an email address and password. We store the email address and a Firebase account ID. Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication. We do not store your password.

Alerts and preferences. Alert settings, saved locations, and app preferences (such as units, display options, and alert thresholds) are stored on your device. If you sign in, those settings can sync to your account.

Push notifications. If you turn on alerts, we store a push token for that device so the alert can be delivered.

Subscription status. EverythingWeather Pro is optional. We receive your subscription status from Apple, Google Play, or RevenueCat. Payment card numbers, security codes, and bank accounts are processed by Apple, Google, or Stripe. We do not receive or store them.

Signed-in devices. If you sign in, we store a device identifier (a Firebase Installation ID), the platform, and last-seen time so we can enforce the per-account device limit. Signing out releases that slot. Inactive device records expire.

Usage data. Firebase Analytics records how the app is used, including screens viewed, app version, platform, and general device type. We use this to operate and improve the app.

This website. The public pages do not require an account. The delete-account page uses Firebase so you can sign in and delete your account. If you email support, we receive the address you write from and the contents of the message.

To fix problems and improve the app

We do not sell your personal information.

Who else receives information

These providers receive the information they need to perform their part of the service:

Google Firebase and Google Cloud, for accounts, the database, cloud functions, push notifications, and analytics. Our cloud functions run in the United States (us-central1).
Apple and Google, for app distribution and subscription billing on the App Store and Google Play.
RevenueCat, for subscription status, and Stripe, for web checkout payments.
Mapbox, for maps and place search. A search or reverse geocode sends the query or coordinates to Mapbox.
The National Weather Service and other NOAA sources, including the Storm Prediction Center and Weather Prediction Center, and Environment and Climate Change Canada, for weather data. A request for local weather can include coordinates or a place name.
Open-Meteo, only as a backup for current conditions when National Weather Service data is unavailable.

How long we keep it

Account data, synced settings, saved alert locations, and push tokens stay until you delete them. Deleting your account removes the signed-in profile and the account data stored with it. Deleting the account does not cancel an App Store, Google Play, or web subscription. Cancel billing in your subscription settings if you want charges to stop.

You can delete the account from Account in the iOS, Android, or web app, or at the delete-account page. Preferences that never leave the device stay on that device until you change them or remove the app.
