Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using EverythingWeather on iOS, Android, or the web, you agree to these Terms of Service and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The current terms are the version published on this page. The iOS, Android, and web apps open everythingwx.com/terms-of-service so the copy you read is the latest one.

Installs from the Apple App Store are also covered by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

2. The service

EverythingWeather provides weather forecasts, radar, weather alerts, and related meteorological information. Data comes from the National Weather Service and other NOAA sources, including the Storm Prediction Center and the Weather Prediction Center, and from Environment and Climate Change Canada. Open-Meteo is used as a backup for current conditions when National Weather Service data is unavailable.

EverythingWeather is an independent app. It is not an official product of the National Weather Service, NOAA, or Environment and Climate Change Canada. Alert coverage and available data differ between the United States and Canada, and some products are not available in every location.

3. License

EverythingWeather owns the app, including its software, design, and the way it presents weather information. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to use the app. This license does not give you any ownership of the app.

You may share images, video loops, and GIFs you export from the app. You may not resell, sublicense, copy, or scrape the app, and you may not offer the app, its data, or its features as part of a product or service you provide to others.

A Team plan adds more signed-in devices on one account. It is the same license, with a higher device limit. It does not include a right to redistribute the app or its data.

4. Weather alerts

Hazards, alerts, and outlooks in the app, including fire-weather products, are informational. They are not an emergency-dispatch system, a weather radio, or a substitute for official warnings and instructions from public authorities. Do not rely on the app as your only source for emergency decisions. Confirm critical weather information through official channels.

Alerts and notifications are sent on a best-effort basis. They may be delayed, missed, duplicated, or outdated. Delivery depends on notification permission, location permission, network connection, battery and operating-system limits, and on Apple, Google, and Firebase. If the app does not have a current location, a location-based alert may not arrive, or it may be for a place you have left.

5. Accounts

You can use the app without an account. The app is not directed at children under 13, and you may not create an account if you are under 13. If you create an account, you are responsible for the activity under that account and for keeping your sign-in method private.

A signed-in account may be used on a limited number of devices at once. The default limit is 5. A phone, tablet, or web browser each counts as one device. Signing in on another device past that limit can sign out the device used least recently. Signing out of a device frees that slot. Extra-device (Team) plans are arranged with us and billed separately. They still use one account and one email.

You can delete the account in the app or on the delete-account page. Deleting the account removes the signed-in profile and the saved account data stored with it. It does not cancel a paid subscription.

6. EverythingWeather Pro

EverythingWeather Pro is an optional subscription that unlocks premium features. On iOS it is billed by the Apple App Store. On Android it is billed by Google Play. On the web it is billed through our web checkout, which uses RevenueCat and Stripe. We do not receive or store your card number.

Current consumer pricing is $3.99 per month or $34.99 per year and may vary by store and region. That plan includes up to 5 signed-in devices on one account. A second Pro purchase on another email is a separate account. It does not add devices to the first account.

If you need more than 5 devices on the same account, contact support@everythingwx.com about a Team plan. Team pricing is set when we set up the plan and may differ from the consumer price. Team billing is through our web checkout (RevenueCat and Stripe), not the App Store or Google Play.

Cancel a store subscription in your Apple or Google account settings. Cancel a web subscription, including a Team plan, from the subscription management page linked in the app. Canceling stops future charges under that store's or checkout provider's rules. Deleting your EverythingWeather account does not cancel billing.

Refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases follow those stores' policies. Send billing disputes for those purchases to Apple or Google. For a refund question about a web subscription, including a Team plan, contact support@everythingwx.com.

7. Location

Some features need location access, including local forecasts and location-based alerts. You can change location permission in your device settings at any time. How location is used is described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Acceptable use

You agree to use the app in compliance with applicable law. You agree not to interfere with or disrupt the service, attempt to break the device limit, scrape or overload the service, or use the app in a way that breaks these terms.

9. Third-party services

Forecasts, radar, maps, accounts, notifications, and payments depend on other companies and agencies. Those include the National Weather Service and other NOAA sources, Environment and Climate Change Canada, Open-Meteo, Mapbox, Google Firebase, Apple, Google, RevenueCat, and Stripe. We do not control those services. An outage, error, or change on their side can delay, interrupt, or change what the app shows. Their own terms apply to their services.

10. No warranties

The app, and the forecasts, radar, alerts, outlooks, and notifications in it, are provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, timeliness, availability, and fitness for a particular purpose, whether express or implied. You use the app at your own risk.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EverythingWeather is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from the use of the app or the inability to use it. This includes damages from weather-related incidents and from a delayed, missed, duplicated, stale, or incorrect alert, forecast, radar image, or outlook, even if we knew that kind of damage was possible.

12. Interruptions

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control. That includes outages or changes at weather-data providers, hosting and push-notification services, app stores, networks, and device operating systems.

13. Suspension

We may suspend or end access to the app or to an account if you break these terms, misuse the service, or if the law requires it. If we do, stop using the app.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page is the latest revision. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the updated terms.

15. General

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and EverythingWeather about the app. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Consumer protections that apply where you live, and that cannot be waived, still apply.

The app is offered for use in the United States and Canada. If you use it somewhere else, you are responsible for complying with local law.
